I love my school. It smells like poop. The teachers assign a lot of homework. The lunch line takes 8 hours to get through. The people like to make fun of black people. 10/10 sucks for human beings that have bladders. There is a clock tower instead of a pool. And don't even ask me about leaving the student parking lot.
But. The smell isn't there everyday. And the proud feeling I get when I finish all of the nights work is pretty amazing. The lunch ladies alone make waiting in the line worth it. Not to mention the food is actually pretty yummy. And sometimes grown out of the garden we have in the court yard! I think black jokes are kind of hilarious. Specially when black people say them to me.. Marquies Wall I'm talking about you. :) I also don't have a bladder. I'm not a human being. Plus, the clock tower is sort of really beautiful in the weirdest way. It just adds something extra special to Black Hills that you can't really explain.
I love my school for a million reasons. And I think if you go there you could probably guess why. I love my friends. I love the kids that I don't talk to but still smile at me in the hallway. I love the teachers. Even the ones I hate. I love Yun's cynicism, and Olivia Logenbaugh's positivity. I adore my leadership class. And my ASB team. I love when I can hear Mr. Bell sneezing from Vasereno's classroom. I really really love basketball games. And basketball players. I admire the kids like Drew Devoe, who aren't afraid to go all out. And the ones who are trying to make the world a better place like Trevor Smith. I love assemblies, and those two pretty ladies who put them together. I'm even in love with the freshman. Yes, the freshman. I love my school for a million reasons.
So, I'm making this blog to recognize those who need to know that we all see what they are doing and love it. I'm pretty terrible at updating Athlete of the Week and Student of the Month boards so you can find out that stuff here. I'm also making it though for awareness reasons. I know you don't listen to the annoucements. I don't listen to them either! And I get a ton of questions about upcoming events daily so this should help clear up confusions on stuff! I don't want to always be the one writing though so if you are passionate about somethnig and want to be the one to talk about it, let me know! Any questions just send me a message on the great old Facebook or email me at ayadejhaturner@yahoo.com!
I hope you all have had a great winter break, a magical year of 2011, and a great night tonight as we welcome the New Year! Only 4 days left until school so make em' count!
